Salvo Music Waves is the name of a former subsidiary of the Salvo Underground Zone And Nerd Network Enterprise, of which served as the beginning of the Suzanne movement.
YouTube channel, Salvo Music Waves has gotten some copyright strikes. One on October 2 over the Shawn Mullins album Soul's Core, and another on October 29, 2014 over the soundtrack for the movie Rad. The copyright strikes that YouTube channels are prone to in general is one of the many reasons why Suzanne Records markets free MP3 albums to activists.
On October 29, 2014, In response to these copyright strikes, The Salvo Underground Zone And Nerd Network Enterprise has started a new YouTube channel named Rodanthe Music Waves, as a sister music channel as well as a "backup" channel. One day later, the Salvo Music Waves YouTube accounts gets suspended, but it's marketing lives on through its "sister" Rodanthe Music Waves.
Origin of name
Salvo Music Waves is a name that stems from the neighboring towns of Salvo, North Carolina and Waves, North Carolina in the Outer Banks. It also applies the concept of "sound waves" that go with the music.
