Album cover, features the towns of Salvo (where the Suzanne movement is based), Waves, and Rodanthe in the Outer Banks in North Carolina along North Carolina Highway 12.

Suzanne's Underground Songs In Exile Quarantine: Volume 1 is the first album in the series Suzanne's Underground Songs In Exile Quarantine.

Due to suspected copyfraud on YouTube, Suzanne Records decided to release an album similar to the Nisa's YouTube Rejects series from Nisa Records. In fact, some tracks from Nisa's YouTube Rejects albums would serve as the basis for ideas toward tracks on this album. Having stiff competition from the Nunica Internet Social Alliance is another motive for why Suzanne Records released free MP3 albums of their own too, also not to mention that they would pay homage to Suzanne Vega whom is "mother of the MP3".

The album's title is a semi-recursive acronym since Susie Q, or just the name Susie by itself is a nickname for Suzanne.
